BILLY & CLAIRE

Billy and Claire’s wedding remains one of the most meaningful days from the 2025 season. Every wedding is a labour of love, but photographing people you’ve known before life unfolds carries a different kind of weight. Having been friends with Billy since secondary school, it meant a great deal when he asked me to photograph his wedding with Claire.

The day began beneath the soaring stone of Tewkesbury Abbey, one of the most iconic wedding venues in the UK. Before unfolding into a private celebration at Saxon Barn. There was a quiet elegance throughout—from the stillness of the Abbey, to a rare and generous golden hour, to the unexpected gravity of a Gladiator Elysium score as they entered.

What truly defined the day, though, was trust. Billy and Claire leaned fully into the process—letting go of self-consciousness, releasing the instinct to stay reserved, and allowing presence to take over. This is where my approach as a wedding photographer lives: creating space for connection. Guiding gently when needed, and guiding something honest to surface with intention, rather than waiting for something to surface that seldom does.

It’s a day that will stay with me. A wedding rooted in atmosphere, intention, and connection—photographed with reverence and restraint.
