TOM & GRACE
DUBLIN CITY | IRELAND WEDDING | NOVEMBER 2025
When Tom and Grace asked me to travel to Ireland to photograph their wedding, the intention was clear from the outset—quiet, considered, and centred on how the day would feel rather than how it would appear. We spoke over different calls tin the lead up to the wedding to ensure that we were prepared and aligned on all of the details during the planning,
Tom came across my work prior to meeting years earlier whilst both backpacking in Vietnam. He reached out and that familiarity helped the day run smoothly. Photographing a wedding abroad brings its own demands, unfamiliar logistics, shifting plans and moments that require calm decision-making. However, the priority remains the same: protect the experience, stay present, and work with intention.
Their celebration unfolded over two days, beginning with preparations at The Leinster Hotel, before a windy walk through Merrion Square to the revered National Art Gallery of Ireland for the ceremony. Before finishing day two at Blackrock College RFC. Working within spaces like these calls for restraint, organisation and a quiet confidence. With different challenges to overcome such as the public using the art gallery, copyright laws of artwork, timing’s and even difficult parking. All were adapted to and actioned unobtrusively to keep the day running smoothly.
More than a destination, this was a reminder of the value of working with intent—blending in easily, responding quietly, and photographing with clarity rather than force. If you’re planning a wedding outside the UK and are looking for a photographer who travels with discretion and confidence, you’re welcome to get in touch.
